MANDATED REPORTING.

In the article, the author discusses issues and developments in the dental hygiene profession, particularly in the U.S., as of April 2017, particularly the responsibility of hygienists to report to authorities in 12 hours when a child patient shows signs of abuse or neglect. Also cited are the responsibility by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to record all reports, and the things that should be reported like physical injuries in young people below 18 years of age.
