Abstract
- The article presents criticism on the horror-fantasy-thriller television series "Stranger Things," which airs on Netflix and stars Winona Ryder and Noah Schnapp. Particular focus is given to how the series explores the 1980s through nostalgia. Additional topics include the use of nostalgia as a marketing tool, the 2015 film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and the show's soundtrack in comparison to those of the 1980s films "Pretty in Pink" and "The Breakfast Club."
