Abstract

Presents a study where organic waste was applied to reduce the emission of methyl bromide and methyl isothiocyanate, by enhancement of their degradation in surface soil. Acceleration of the degradation of both compounds in composted manure of biosolid-manure amended soils; Indication of the difference in degradation kinetics between sterile and nonsterile amended soil.
