Abstract

The micro-grid is an important part of future Smart Distribution Automation, and the micro-grid technology is a trend of the future distributed power system. Combined with the current hot issue in the field of power system, i.e. , micro-grid stability problem, an experiment course of "stability analysis experiment of micro-grid based on small-signal model" is proposed for the students of electrical engineering and related majors, The course includes theoretical knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, theoretical knowledge of DC micro-grid and stability analysis, small signal modeling of converter and stability analysis of cascade converters. It also contains choosing topics and the corresponding MATLAB simulation, seminars and so on. Students are required to master the simple DC micro-grid small signal stability analysis within 20 courses. This experiment course focuses on the issues concerned at present and nearly future, combines the control theory analysis with new energy power grid, makes students understand the new development of science and technology and the academic trends, enlightens students’ thought of scientific research, and introduces the research method (small signal analysis) to the experiment teaching activities.
