Abstract

A 3D printed micro uidically-controlled metal-coated waveguide single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch is presented, which is both light weight and has low power consumption, exhibiting good performance at K-band. Oil (ON state) and EGaIn metal (OFF state) liquids are used for switching control. The proposed switch exhibits its best performance at 18 GHz, with insertion loss below 0.2 dB, return loss of 19.5 dB, and isolation better than 25 dB. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
