During the Guadalupe Victoria administration, the "Impartíais" criticized key governance issues established in the 1824 first federal republic, especially when related to the Masonic Lodges. They voiced the concerns of many key sectors that opposed the Masonic Lodges. This article analyzes Impartíais' ideas and practices in the Águila Mejicana publication. Likewise, it examines the debates between the Impartíais and the Masonic Lodges periodicals in Mexico City. This article explains how the Impartíais contrived to eliminate the Masonic Lodges.
