Abstract
- The article offers information on how the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Public Health Laboratory (PHL) has been notified of a suspected Francisella tularensis at a hospital laboratory on June 27, 2016. The isolate was confirmed at MDH PHL as Francisella tularensis type B by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, direct fluorescent antibody testing and culture. Francisella tularensis subspecies holarctica and tularensis bacteria are the causative agents of tularemia.
