Abstract
- The author offers his views on how events in Syria and Iraq are misreported. Television network NBC news is said to have reported that more than forty civilians had been burnt by government troops, vaguely sourcing the story to the Arab media. The partisan reporting of the siege of East Aleppo presented it as a battle between good and evil. It notes how modern information technology in the form of YouTube, smartphones, Facebook, Twitter can be used to facilitate dissemination of propaganda.
