Abstract
- The article presents a study which examined the difference between the doctrines of freedom formulated by theologians John Duns Scotus and Francis Turretin. Topics discussed include the conception of freedom by philosopher Aristotle, difference in reception of Aristotle's work in development of doctrines, and distinctions between necessity of the consequence (necessitas consequentiae) and necessity of the consequent (necessitas consequentis) as well as in sensu diviso and in sensu composito.
