Abstract
- The author talks about the role of nurses in implementing reforms for a health and social care system in Northern Ireland. She mentions a commitment set out by Health Minister Michelle O'Neill to address the issues facing the health and social care (HSC) system. She emphasizes the need to develop the role of the advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) across primary and out of hours care. The author also stresses the importance of the role of district nurses.
