Abstract
- The article explores the political, economic and policy issues faced by the government of Tonga. Topics covered include women's role in politics, the move to annul the ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and campaigns launched to address the lack of women's participation in local and national politics in Tonga.
