Abstract
- The article profiles Major General Muhammad Akbar Khan of the British Indian Army and Pakistan Army, the senior most Muslim officer during the independence in 1947 and son of Risaldar Major Fazal Dad Khan. It discusses the involvement of Khan's family in the Army in which five of his brothers also served in the army, his career in psychoanalysis, and military accomplishment . Khan was among the Indian men given commission as officers when officer rank of Indian army after the First World War.
