Abstract

This study aims to recover the history of the first women bachelors in law in Brazil and to demonstrate through the history of women's higher education and the history of law in Brazil that women didn't have access to higher education by the end of the nineteenth century. When they could study the course affects to the women were mainly for the training of early childhood teachers (education for children). In the investigation, we used the historical method for the bibliographic and documentary research in the fields of history of education and history of law. Also sources were analyzed and available by the Order of Lawyers of Brazil about the first women bachelors in law in Brazil and in State of Sao Paulo. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
