Abstract
- The article discusses the potential future impact of technology on optometry. It is noted that the role of the optometrist is likely to be increase clinical through MECS accreditation and increasing clinical skills. It is also evident that optometry needs to be embedded within National Health Service (NHS) England's plans for the delivery of the Five Year Forward View of primary care services within the community.
