Abstract
- One of the most widely used vegetables from Neolithic Age is flax in Anatolia. Especially linseed is used in Daily life until recently. However linseed is not found in Hittite Texts. It is said that the similarities between sesame and flax have caused this situation in analogy to the Ancient Near Eastern studies. It should be noted that some Sumerian and Akkadian words mentioned in Hittite texts associated sesame can be read as linseed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
