Abstract

The article discusses the role of paid sick leave in preventing spread of illness and reducing on-the-job injuries. It mentions that as per the data of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, sick food service workers spread 70 percent of the foodborne transmission of norovirus. It also reveals the implementation of a policy on the benefits of paid sick leave by American Medical Association.
