Abstract: The article examines Russia's efforts to influence elections, particularly in the U.S. Topics discussed include Russia's attempt to stop the reelection of U.S. President Ronald Reagan in November 1984, the use of disinformation by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his war against Ukraine, and Putin's allegations that the protest movements against his third presidential term in 2012 were the result of an American conspiracy.
