Psychopharmacologic Management of Anxiety in an Adolescent with Congenital Long QT Syndrome.

The article describes the case of a 16-year-old adolescent girl with a history of congenital long QT syndrome and generalized anxiety and panic disorder with agoraphobia which led to school avoidance. Topics covered include the history of patient's illness, results of the patient's mental status examination, and the complexiities and challenges of treating anxiety in an adolescent with susceptibility to QT interval prolongation.
