Abstract
- Winnicott was one of the main theorists of psychoanalysis that stressed human communicability from the “mirroring function” and mutuality in the mother-infant relationship. The objective of this paper is to analyze the importance of mirroring at mental health of baby through a “triple helix narcissistic” that emphasizes continuous reciprocity at mother look to her baby and from baby to his mother, while both enjoying an experience of mutuality. These experiences can be observed when the mother feed the baby or through games and play with the maternal environment. To corroborate this thought, the author presents a clinical vignette showing the mirroring function during feeding of a child with congenital malformation of the esophagus, by your doctor and its relationship to develop the communication.
