Abstract

The article presents an upgraded cross-polarization scattering (CPS) system for the measurement of density fluctuations and internal magnetic fluctuations. The system has eight radial quadrature channels simultaneously acquired with an eight-channel Doppler backscattering system. The system design permits the possibility of both magnetic-temperature fluctuation and magnetic-density fluctuation for detailed turbulence simulation tests.
