Abstract: The article reports on the normalisation issues of glucose measurements using phlebotomy tubes with liquid additives. It informs about the preanalytical procedures recognised by the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry. It further informs about the Glucomedics tube from Greiner which contains a buffered citrate/sodium fluoride additive.
