Abstract
- The article discusses the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit's ruling in the 2014 case Cook v. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) which deals with secrecy, the public's right to know, and the use of an American Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) privacy exemption to hide presidential records involving ex-American President George W. Bush and former U.S. Vice President Richard Cheney. The U.S. Presidential Records Act and reporter John Cook are assessed.
