Abstract

The author discusses the prediction model developed by Z. Zafari and colleagues to predict lung-function trajectories in individual patients and its effectiveness in the prevention and early treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He says that the prediction tool can be used to identify the risk of a rapid decline in lung function, particularly among smokers.
