An introduction is presented in which the editor discusses reports published within the issue on topics including a comparison of the health and wellbeing outcomes between maltreated children placed in out-of-home care (OoHC) and those being cared for at home, the relationship between maternal personality disorder and child maltreatment and the impact of mandatory reporting for teacher education in Ireland.
