Abstract
- The article argues against the use of the term "stable" in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Topics covered include the explanation that CKD is a progressive disease, uncertainty about the intensity of care required, mortality rates and cardiovascular disease progression in CKD patients and the suggestion nephrology professionals to avoid the use of the word stable in describing CKD patients given the multiple complications of the disease.
