Abstract

This article has like fundamental intention, to present a comparative bibliographical review of the different analytical perspectives of the labor accident rate; tackling its concept, institutional frame, causes, consequences, costs and economic models of study from the optics of different countries. For such an end there was used the methodology of informational advancing and equations of search bibliographical virtual in different bases, such as: Redalyc, Scopus, Jstor, ScienceDirect, Econlit, Dialnet, between others. Additionally, it was investigated in the information systems of the different accredited governmental entities and internationally, related to the subject-matter. Between the most excellent finds one emphasizes that from factors related to the job, the social and demographic characteristics of the individuals and the spatial and temporary location of the accidents; the normative frame constitutes the control variable in the determination of the probability of occurrence of catastrophes.
