UMA ANÁLISE DO PROCESSO DE ELABORAÇÃO DO TRABALHO DE CONCLUSÃO DE CURSO A PARTIR DO PROCESSO DE RACIOCÍNIO DA TEORIA DAS RESTRIÇÕES.

This study aimed to present an application of the Thinking Process (TP) that is a part of the Theory of Constraints (TOC). These tools were developed by Eliyahu Goldratt, and were applied to the preparation of the Undergraduate Final Paper (UFP) process. This study aimed to identify possible causes that prevent the publication of the UFP, and proposes ways in order to obtain such a result. The TP is a set of logical tools, based on cause-and-effect, designed to assist in solving organizational/systemic problems. This is an applied research, taken mainly from qualitative data. Data collection was done through online questionnaire. 336 responses were obtained from 48 courses at a Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the Midwest. The analysis allowed to diagnose, logically, that the difficulty in achieving publication of UFP comes mainly from unfamiliarity of the respondents with the methodological procedures. It is considered necessary to make the area that deals with the research methodology compulsory in the HEI searched. The management constraints, in light of TOC, can contribute to improving the quality level of preparation of the UFPs and thus increase the number of publications from this type of activity.
