Abstract

The section discusses several issues on journalism. The four documentaries of Robert L. Drew bout U.S. President John F. Kennedy aired for the first time together on The History Channel on November 22, 2003, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy. Bill Woestendiek retired in 1995 as director of the School of Journalism at the University of Southern California, Annenberg. Hamilton Productions continues to produce both corporate and on-air television programming, including the "Watch on Washington" series. John Hughes, on leave as a tenured professor of journalism and director of the International Media Studies Program at Brigham Young University, is editor and chief operating officer of the Deseret Morning News. Henry Raymont spends each spring teaching a seminar on U.S. relations with Latin America. Wayne Wood; Saul Friedman who founded and writes a weekly column on senior issues for "Newsday" newspaper, suffered a stroke that partially paralyzed his right arm and leg. Wayne Woodlief, a political writer who has been with the "Boston Herald" newspaper is retiring from full-time duty at the paper after the Herald announced a series of buyouts, retirements and layoffs.
