Abstract
- Data records since 2008 to 2012 showed that occurrence of the coral reef bleaching, increasing in population of jellyfish and decreasing in presence of some migratory marine mammals in Persian Gulf was increased. Results of our biometric methods on jellyfish of the Persian Gulf (Aurelia aurata), showed a significant increase in size during the last 4 years (p < 0.05). Our studies on the area showed that at the sampling areas where superhot wastewater of industries cooled in terrestrial pools and then emptied into the sea, the abundance of the Aurelia aurata was significantly lower than the regions where superhot water directly emptied into the seawater. In the present paper we will review the effects of global warming especially in the Persian Gulf. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
