Abstract
- The National Repository for Low and Intermediate Radioactive Waste (DNDR)-Baita Bihor is situated in the Apuseni mountains, in the eastern part of Romania in an old uranium exploitation area. The environmental monitoring methodology in DNDR area is focused on controlling the factors that could indicate a possible influence of this repository on the environment. In this paper is presented an extensive investigation of radiological and physico-chemical parameters of water samples. During 2012-2015, were collected and analysed a number of water samples from the DNDR area of influence. The values of different physico-chemical parameters like pH, conductivity, total organic carbon (TOC), Li+, Na+, K+, NH4+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl-, F-, NO2-, NO3-, SO42-, PO43- of samples are compared with values measured for the comissioning study compiled before 1985, when the repository was put into operation.
