Abstract
- The article presents information on the amendments in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which are implemented by the FOIA Improvement Act of 2016 and will be applicable to the requests filed after the signing of the law on June 30, 2016 by U.S. President Barack Obama. It focuses on the new limits imposed on FOIA exemptions including the "foreseeable harm" standard, and a 25-year sunset on the deliberative process privilege.
