Abstract

The article discusses the highlights of a research paper published in the "Journal of Personality and Social Psychology" to show that students' grittiness has less effect on the academic performance or success of students according to academics from Iowa State University. Topics covered include the definition of the term grit according to University of Pennsylvania psychologist Angela Duckworth, the pros and cons of students' grittiness, and the use of grit to determine academic success.
