Abstract: The article offers information on the global permafrost thermal condition in 2015. Topics include high temperatures recorded on the Alaskan North Slope region, factors that affect the absolute active layer thickness (ALT) changes, and increase of ground temperatures in the warm permafrost of higher elevations in central Asia.
