Abstract

Versatile BSA ‐ CuS/Gd2O3 hybrid nanoparticles are fabricated by a facile one ‐ pot albumin ‐ mediated biomineralization strategy. The obtained multifunctional nanoparticles exhibit strong longitudinal relaxivity, an outstanding photothermal effect, high drug ‐ loading capacity, and pH/temperature ‐ responsive drug release. The drug ‐ loaded BSA ‐ CuS/Gd2O3 hybrid nanoparticles offer an outstanding synergistic antitumor photothermal chemotherapeutic effect both in vitro and in vivo. This work thus provides technical guidance for designing theranostic agents in a simple way.
