Global leprosy update, 2015: time for action, accountability and inclusion.

The article discusses the Global Leprosy Strategy 2016-2020 released in 2016 based on the principles of initiating action, ensuring accountability and promoting inclusion. The three pillars around which the strategy is built including strengthening government ownership, coordination and partnership, stopping leprosy and its complications and stopping discrimination. Three key targets agreed upon by all national programmes include zero grade-2 disabilities among children diagnosed with leprosy.
