Abstract
- The article looks at the revised money market funds regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Issues discussed are the impact of the regulations for benchmark interest rate, its implications for prime funds serving institutional investors, as well as for foreign banks, and borrowing using exchange-rate swaps. A graph presented shows the rate of attrition of U.S. money market funds' assets for 2015-2016.
