Abstract

The authors present an analysis on a research on measuring latent infection that can fuel viral recrudescence if patients cease antiretroviral therapy (ART). They show that interperson variation in viral activation or growth rates in rebound time while arguing that high activation rates are suggested by the weak correlation. The use of the researchers of viral sequence data derived from rebounding participants to compare ratios of genetically distinguishable viral strains is tackled.
