Abstract

A catalyst formed in situ upon mixing of a trisamidomolybdenum alkylidyne complex and a trisilanol derivative is highly efficient in metathesis reactions of a series of model compounds comprising primary, secondary or phenolic -OH groups, as well as challenging (bis)propargylic substrates.
