Abstract

The TIBP-catalyzed allylation of β-iodoacrylaldehyde (I) with crotylboronic acid ester (II) gives rise to chiral iodoalcohol (III), which is converted by Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction into intermediates (V) of the natural compounds pteroenone (VI) and antillatoxin (VII).
