Abstract
- The article critiques the novel "Loaded" by author Christos Tsiolkas, and it mentions writer Michael Bull's work on city sounds and the study of street and walking narratives which are sometimes categorized as flânerie. Tsiolkas' love of music and music technology are addressed, along with an analysis of the narrator and protagonist character named Ari in "Loaded." The Walkman cassette player device is examined, along with walking, running, and dancing in literature.
