Abstract

The article explores the reason behind the disappearance of the universe's visible matter billion of years ago. Topics covered include the possible role of black holes in the universe's missing mass, the possibility that the missing matter emits X-ray light which makes it hard to detect even with the most powerful telescope, and the speculation by astronomers that it could lie in galaxies like the Milky Way.
