Abstract

Incoming represents one of the most efficient types of tourism, a real force that stimulates the tourist offer in Romania. Encouraging the export of tourist services could lead to an increase in incomes, and, consequently, in the quality of tourist services offered and in the competitiveness of Romanian tourism. The research on the receptive tourism in Bucovina is based on a survey made in 2014, on a sample of 34 foreign tourists who were visiting the area. The statistic processing of the survey data was made by using Sphinx Lexica and SPSS programs. The partial results of this research show that Bucovina is a very appreciated tourist destination due to the rich natural and anthropic patrimony. However, some obstacles in the development of Romanian tourism, and especially receptive tourism, are highlighted. The weak points are the insufficient promotion of this destination abroad, the reduced accessibility, and the poor road infrastructure and public transport services. The following years will be crucial for the launching of the Bucovina tourism on the international market, but making this come true involves a better involvement of the decision factors and a good collaboration between the public and private sector.
