- The article offers information on the U.S. Navy as of July 1, 2016. Topics include the recognition of U.S. Coast Guard Air Station/Sector Field Office (AS/SFO) Port Angeles 2015 Enlisted Person of the Year (EPOY) and Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) 2015 Sailor of the Year (SOY) by the Bremerton-Olympic Peninsula, Washington Council, the 100th birthday celebration of World War II veteran Sam Sorenson, and Navy Leaguer Nelson Spoto as guest of honor at a D-Day celebration.
