Abstract

The article discusses the exercise routines and diets that five women used to lose significant amounts of body weight and maintain their weight loss. Topics include student Alex Perrineau's use of the weight loss and nutrition program Jenny Craig and its meal plans, stay-at-home mother Gillian Faith's use of body building and fitness competitions to recover from anorexia and bulimia after her third pregnancy, and dog groomer Karyl Mullins use of the weight management program Weight Watchers and kickboxing to lose weight and manage her health.
