Abstract

Quantum coherence is an important physical resource in quantum computation and quantum information processing. In this paper, we firstly obtain an uncertainty-like expression relating two coherences contained in corresponding local bipartite quantum system. This uncertainty-like inequality shows that the larger the coherence of one subsystem, the less coherence contained in other subsystems. Further, we discuss in detail the uncertainty-like relation among three single-partite quantum systems. We show that the coherence contained in pure tripartite quantum system is greater than the sum of the coherence of all local subsystems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
