Abstract
- The article discusses the need to meet Africa's demand for oil products in 2016. Topics covered include oil product demand in sub-Saharan Africa being projected to grow from 1.8 million barrels of oil per day (MMbpd) to 4 MMbpd by 2040, the integration of regional economies in Africa, and the construction of Uganda's 60-Mbpd crude processing plant being developed by Tullow Oil Plc, China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited (CNOOC) and Total SA.
