Abstract
- Stalking is a form of criminal behavior, intimidation and psychological terror, which can lead to acts of violence against a victim. The stalker enters into the lives of the victims invading and terrorizing them through behaviors such as observation, surveillance, intimidation or harassment, often with devastating consequences. Some individuals stalking victims come to change their lifestyle (schedules, cars, streets of habit) to protect themselves and their families (Gargiullo and Damiani 2010). The phenomenon of stalking female has not taken the same severity of violent conduct made by men, although there is no empirical evidence that women are less intrusive or persistent towards their victims (Mullen et al. 2001). Female violence in general and the Female-Stalking in particular, are studied in various non-European countries, only in Italy there is no official investigation that studies the victims of male gender, as there is not reception facility that will deal with it. This study aims to carry out an exploratory survey of 11 men of female stalking victims, noting the characteristics of the victims, violent behavior and sufered most common symptoms reported by victims.
