Appealing to the State Church Identity in Processes of Change.

An essay is presented on identity formation of majority religion in the context of intentional, political processes of change in state-church relations during the 20th century. Particular focus is given on the majority church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark. It also examines how various actors interact to achieve their goals in processes of institutional change and the application of governance to majority religion.
