Abstract: This article presents information on research papers contributed for the joint meeting with phycological section of Botanical Society of America, to be held from August 28-30, 1967. Researchers G.J. Hill and L. Machlis contributed papers on cell division in oedogonium. In this paper, the ultrastructural events occurring during vegetative and sexual cell division of oedogonium is described. Researcher Norma J. Lang contributed papers in which the extraplastidic red pigment astaxanthin was investigated.
