FILAMENTARY STRUCTURE OF THE ORION A MOLECULAR CLOUD.

Interstellar filaments pervade molecular clouds on all scales providing a bridge between the gas with relatively low densities and the dense clumps. In this work, we characterize various physical properties of filaments in the Orion A molecular cloud using preliminary datasets from the CARMA Orion project. We use an automated filament finding algorithm, DisPerSE, on 3D datacubes, and custom characterization algorithms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
